NBC News Now will be available as a streaming only channel and Dateline 24/7 appears to only be available on select SiriusXM branded radios at channel 107.
Both are audio simulcasts free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels from NBC.
Other NBC News-produced audio channels available on SiriusXM include simulcasts of CNBC (channel 112), MSNBC (channel 117) and Today Show Radio (channel 108).
Brian's take:
1) This would be a better consumer experience if the channel locations were flipped. Dateline 24/7 seems more like a channel better suited for the app and on-demand. I'd much rather have NBC News Now on the satellites so I can easily listen in the car would. That would make a lot more sense from a listener standpoint.
2) As the holidays approach, it certainly gives the impression that "found" bandwidth to add a channel for a partnership with NBC, but you can be sure they'll preempt 40s Junction in a few weeks for two months of Holiday Traditions. Fans may feel bad they can't "find" bandwidth for Holiday Traditions instead of once again taking away 40s.
